ZS ARTIST DIRECTORY COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
BE RESPECTFUL
This is a safe space to for creative community and artistic/ professional growth. We expect all members to treat themselves, one another, and each other’s art with respect at all times. Please keep what is shared in this creative community within this community. Ask the artist for permission before sharing their art. Respect each other’s privacy.
ROOT FOR ONE ANOTHER
This community was designed so that our artists have a support system. Show up for one another. Provide the support you want to receive—give feedback, attend a member’s showcase/ art-related event, affirm the artist and their art, buy their art, promote their work (with permission), recommend an artist for an opportunity, share helpful information, etc. Bottom line, help one another succeed.
SHARE RESOURCES AND OPPORTUNITIES
SHARE YOUR ART
We want to know what’s going on in your artistic journey so we know how to support you. Share your art with the community, share your news, let us know your areas of struggle so the community can lift you up.
BE OPEN TO RECEIVING CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM
KEEP CONVERSATIONS RELATED TO ART AND CREATIVE COMMUNITY
MAINTAIN INTEGRITY
Be truthful in representing yourself and your art.
HOLD EACHOTHER ACCOUNTABLE, RESPECTFULLY
MAINTAIN A GIVE AND TAKE BALANCE
ENGAGE IN CONVERSATION
Engage in and generate art related conversations.
LINK UP WITH MEMBERS
We want you all to build connections with fellow members, so link up! If you want to have a creative session or go to an art-related outing, invite local members to join you, but keep your link-ups exclusively for members and please do so safely.
CONNECT WITH ARTISTS ACROSS DISCIPLINES
This platform is for everyone involved in the arts, but we don’t want to be divided by our artistic disciplines. Connect with artist that don’t share the same artistic discipline as you. Fashion designers, engage with culinary artists. Performing artists connect fine artists. We are all artists. Let’s merge the gap.
COLLABORATION OVER COMPETITION
If you admire the work of a fellow artist, try working with them on a project. Think about how you can each use your individual strengths to grow together instead of how you can be better than another artist separately. Collaboration is key. That’s how we all win.
Please Note: Members not operating within the community guidelines will be at risk of being removed from the Facebook group, not permitted to participate in ZS Art Experiences, prohibited from members-only events, removed from the directory, and/ or termination of membership without a refund. Members at risk of these penalties may or may not be warned before the penalties are put into effect depending of the extent of the neglect of our community guidelines.
